Khamush waterfall is located in the Hamzigon village, Kharmang district of the Baltistan. This natural waterfall is one of the highest altitudes falls in the region. It is also called Shirithing waterfall Kharmang. The water stream falling from the overhung rock having no plunge pool on the base. Water drops scattering all around the base when strikes on solid rocks make it more attractive and magical. Khamush waterfall is occupied by the Rocky Mountains.

This astounding tourist destination is approximately 60 to 65 km away from Skardu city. Skardu city to Hamzigon takes almost 4 hours of traveling to kiss the base of waterfall. The condition of the road is pretty good having few hanging bridges connecting Skardu to Khamush fall.

Mehdiabad and Manthoka water fall falls in between Skardu and Khamush.

In comparison with the famous Manthoka waterfall Kharmang which is artificially designed on overflow water of a hydel power plant. Waterfall located in Kharmang Khamush is all-natural and has more than 100ft in height. Which makes it more dominant than Manthoka waterfall.

The Chaqchan Mosque meaning “The Miraculous Mosque” is a mosque in the city of Khaplu, in the Gilgit-Baltistan region of northern Pakistan. Dating from 1370, the mosque is one of the oldest in the region, and dates from the time when the area's populace converted en masse from Buddhism to Islam. The mosque shares similar architecture as those built in the Kashmir Valley. It is a perfect blend of Tibetan, Mughal, and Persian styles of architecture.

Sogha lake is the welcoming door of this beautiful valley. This Sogha village has no other water supply means except Sogha Lake. this sole Lake is the lifeline of Sogha valley which is their only drinkable water source. This lake is so special; the water temperature in summer is below 10°C.

In this Episode, I Got the chance to sit with the Legends - The mountaineers from hushe valley who saw the dead bodies of famous climbers Ali Sadpara and John Snorrihad on their expedition to summit k2 in summers 2021.

Hushe is the last village of the Ghanche District of Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. It is the highest village in the extremely remote and impoverished Hushe Valley. Hushe men began working as cooks and porters for mountaineering expeditions in the 1960s. Hushe is no longer the poorest of villages, as its popularity as a trekking and climbing destination continues to grow. Climbers and trekkers come all the way from Baltoro Glacier, Concordia (Pakistan) and K2 via Gondogoro Pass (GGLA), descend into Hushe village to reach Skardu District. Access to the Gasherbrums peaks is also possible going north up through Hushe Valley.
The valley and its communities are at altitudes between 2,500 and 3,000 metres and life is complicated. The Valley has been isolated for centuries. The bridge that connects the Valley with the capital of the district by the south built in the late twentieth century, and the intermittent electricity they have has not reached until 2,009. The majestic Masherbrum (7,821 m.) closes the valley to the north.
Winters are extremely harsh and temperatures can reach -15 and -20ºC. Subsistence agriculture is based on small-scale wheat and livestock production.

A local friend of mine invited me to his place in kharfaq village and let us try some local food.
Khaplu serves as the administrative capital of the Ghanche District of Gilgit-Baltistan, in northern Pakistan. Lying 103 km (64 mi) east of the city of Skardu, it was the second-largest kingdom in old Baltistan of the Yabgo dynasty. It guarded the trade route to Ladakh along the Shyok River east of its confluence with the Indus.

Khaplu is a base for trekking into the Hushe valley which leads to the high peaks of Masherbrum, K6, K7, and Chogolisa. Khaplu has a 700-year-old mosque, Chaqchan, founded by Ameer Kabeer Syed Ali Hamadani (RA). Other tourist sites include Ehlie broq, Hanjor, ThoqsiKhar, Kaldaq, and Shyok River views.

Deosai National Park is an alpine plateau of exceptional beauty and ecological value located in the western massif of the Himalayas, east of Nanga Parbat Peak and in close proximity to the Central Karakoram Range. The plateau, with an altitude of 3500 to 5200 m., is an area of 358,400 ha. of flat but undulating plains broken by gently rolling hills and surrounded on all sides by mountains

Deosai National Park is located where two bio-geographical provinces merge, in the Himalayan and Karakorum-Pamirs highlands. As a result, it is a place of very rich biodiversity as species are channeled through the Karakorum range, the main crest of the Himalayas, Zanskar range (Trans-Himalaya), Ladakh range (Trans-Himalaya), and the Indus valley.

These factors combine to create high altitude wetlands characterized by Sheosar Lake, at 4,250m which represents a unique category of alpine wetlands that is confined to the Himalayas, Hindukush, and Karakoram mountain cordilleras. The wetlands are fed by snowmelt from the surrounding high snow-clad peaks and are drained by many fast-flowing rivers and streams. Large expanses of alpine meadow alternate with drier stony areas, and there are patches of dwarf willows along the rivers and streams with many species of Poa, Saxifraga, and Euphorbia. The plateau is highly significant in terms of watershed value. Three important river systems originate from Deosai National Park namely; Shatung, Bara Pani, and Kala Pani which form the Shigar River, an important tributary of the Indus River.

The Deosai National Park is located in the western Himalayas in Gilgit Baltistan, Pakistan. It has an average elevation of 4,114 meters (13,497 ft) above sea level, making Deosai Plains the second highest plateau in the world after Changtang Tibetan Plateau. The park protects an area of 843 square kilometers (325 sq mi). It is well known for the rich flora and fauna of the Karakoram-West Tibetan Plateau alpine steppe eco-region. In spring, it is covered by sweeps of wildflowers and a wide variety of butterflies.

The name came about from the folk tale immortalized by Mian Muhammad Baksh in his poem, "Saif al-Mulook"; the word 'Deosai' means 'the Shadow of the Giant': the word "Deo" being a contraction of 'Deva', and the word 'Sai' being one of 'Saya' i.e. 'Shadow'.Sai or Sain is also an acronym for swami or lord.
Balti people call this place 'Ghbiarsa' referring to 'Summer's Place' because it is only accessible in summer.
